Beyond the Shadow of Doubt™

I have come to learn for myself that the opposite of faith is not doubt, but rather the opposite of faith is certainty! Having doubt is to be fundamentally human & asking questions is the first step to finding answers and clarity. Let’s shed the shadow of shame cast on doubt and instead seek and find clarity that only comes with asking questions.

episode 12: Episode 12. Origin of the word doubt

You may or may not have noticed, I’ve been on a hiatus for a couple months. It wasn’t planned; I vulnerably share that in hindsight I can see that my faith journey was taking yet another pivot. I'm looking forward to fanning these flames and get this fire going again. Today I share about the origin of the word doubt. Learning a second language opened my eyes to the complexity of language in general. Understanding and learning a words’ origin gives context, insight and deeper meaning to the way in which it is used present day, and how that meaning may or may not link back to what was originally intended.
