Cadmus is a hero and the founder of Thebes, he also saves Zeus' skin. His wife is a badass daughter of Aphrodite and Ares. The gods can be petty and vindictive too, they're only human.
CW/TW: far too many Greek myths involve assault. Given it's fiction, and typically involves gods and/or monsters, I'm not as deferential as I would be were I referencing the real thing.
