  • The iHeartPodcast Awards will be held this year at SXSW in Austin TX on March 11. The event will be held at the Fairmont Hotel, and available as a live stream.
  • Resso, the music and podcast service in India run by the owners of TikTok, is to close. In other countries, Resso has been replaced by TikTok Music; Resso was closed in India after a request by the Indian government: TikTok itself is banned there.
  • Zach Kahn, until recently the PR person for Apple Podcasts but tweeting personally, shares his 2024 Podcasting Wishlist. “Make shorter shows”, he suggests, “trust your gut”, and “let the past die”.

  • Death, Sex & Money has been acquired by Slate. The show was with WNYC Studios.
  • A tweet reads: "Exactly Right & My Favorite Murder are no longer in partnership with Wondery and Amazon Music." The agreement appears to have ended a year early.
  • HSBC UK has renewed its sponsorship of The News Agents for a further year. The podcast has now surpassed 69 million downloads.
  • The iHeartPodcasts show Who Killed JFK?, with Rob Reiner, has reached its conclusion: and unlike - say - Serial, we actually get an answer. Kind of. It wasn't Lee Harvey Oswald: but who was it? You can binge the whole season now.
  • The Raven is new from Tenderfoot TV today. On January 31, 2000, hours after Super Bowl XXXIV in Atlanta, Baltimore Ravens star Ray Lewis and a group of friends got into an altercation with a group of men outside of a club. Within seconds, two men — Richard Lollar and Jacinth Baker — were dead in the street. After a three-year-investigation, journalist and series host Tim Livingston, known for also hosting Tenderfoot’s award-winning show “Whistleblower,” presents his findings.
  • Gun and Wand: The Official Companion Podcast is a brand new comedy interview podcast, covering the new gangster-fantasy TV drama, Gun and Wand. Co-host Alfie Packham told us: “I don’t think that the TV show has had enough publicity. This is partly because it doesn’t exist - but why should that be a barrier?”
