“The media doesn’t cover negativity wholesomely and its coverage is spent more on negativity than positivity. I am advanced pertaining to media literacy. I choose to be independent media of me. I refuse to be the temporal “feel good” story of the media. The “feel bad stories” are the majority of the media’s coverage, and the media’s wealth. It (meaning the media) has consumers who demand negative stories more than the positive stories. Its viewership consumers have heightened anxiety, heightened depression, heightened suicidal ideation, and heightened body image issues largely because of media exposure. The media’s negative stories play a role in the committal of crimes, and high lying problems instead of highlighting solutions to problems. I refuse to be the media’s “shiny object.” I refuse to media interviews for any and all media platforms. I enjoy complete control over my image and my likeness.” -Antonio Myers. “The media prides itself on being careless, loose, lax, remiss, unguarded, incautious, forgetful, unthinking, unobservant, reckless, unheeding, indiscreet, inadvertent, unconcerned, wasteful, regardless, imprudent, unconsidered, hasty, inconsiderate, heedless, mindless, untroubled, negligent, neglectful, thoughtless, indifferent, casual, oblivious, absent-minded, listless, abstracted, nonchalant, blasé, undiscerning, offhand, slack, blundering, and rash. The media is not thoughtful, not attentive, and not careful. Clearly, I am not talking about everyone in the media.” -Antonio Myers. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/antonio-myers4/support
