Spotlight Show Elton John (Gotta Get A Basement Ticket)
T H I S I S A B A S M E N T R E P L A Y ........ This was actually a show that was lost in our archives for some time, I thought it may have been erased from our vaults, I am glad we found it. Today were are replaying our Elton John show for a good reason..were paying tribute to a dear friend of mine who was the guest DJ on this show. His name was Kevin (Dee) Knudsen. Kevin worked in radio and he and I got started in 1978 at our first official station and stories we could tell you. But Kevin just passed away 2 weeks ago, so I wanted to play this show again for the people who didn't hear it the first time around. I also had as a guest DJ too our old IT man Gipson Shoemaker who was also present , so you get to hear 3 guys chatting about Elton John and his music. Kevin was a huge Elton fan so that's why he was on the show. It was recorded and first aired November 2013. The show runs 2 and a half hours. I wanted Kevin to come back to do more shows but our schedules didn't match up, so we at least got him on one...so here you go Kevin, one more time...RIP...... We almost could have done a 2 parter, but so far we didn't get to one, maybe I'll do one in the future so much Elton out there to play.
