If you want to give Snaps a try but are not on an Ubuntu based distro…don’t fret. Despite Snaps being created by Canonical…they can be used on most distros.
As an example:
- Fedora just type: sudo dnf install snapd - [link]
- With Arch Snap is available in the AUR - [link]
- How to install in openSUSE - [link]
- other distros - [link]
You may need to enable them with systemctl command post install using:
- sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.socket
