• PodFest Cairo has been announced for Saturday March 2. Latif Nasser, co-host of Radiolab, and Jasmin Bauomy from TRZ Media are among the speakers.
• Acast’s CEO, Ross Adams, has posted his positive thoughts about the creator economy and podcasts. Acast is to work with Next Broadcast Media to grow podcast monetisation in the Middle East and North Africa.
• AdsWizz has added “synthetic voice ads” to AudioGO, the company’s self-serve platform for smaller businesses.
• Analytics and research platform Veritonic has announced Brand Lift Pulse, a tool that provides brands with access to actionable awareness, favorability, use, intent, and recall data for audio campaigns of all sizes.
• Audiohook has announced a collaboration with Sounder for episode-level contextual targeting. The tool moves beyond show genres to pinpoint contextually relevant episodes within podcasts – regardless of the show’s declared genre.
• Transistor has added a new “recommended vendors” directory to help people find podcast editors, producers, marketing agencies, and other companies.
• If it’s not got an RSS feed, it’s not a podcast - so say two-thirds of podcasters, according to a survey for The Podcast Host.
