The Devil Is in the Details

In this edition of 32 Thoughts, Jeff and Elliotte begin with the New Jersey Devils and a tough week that saw them lose 6-2 to the Capitals and 5-1 to the Rangers. The guys ponder whether NJ will trade for a goalie as a result, and perhaps bolster their defence. The guys also weigh in on the Matt Rempe hit on Nathan Bastian that occurred in the Rangers romp. Next, Jeff and Elliotte provide the latest updates on Noah Hanifin's future (11:18) and Elliotte mentions the Bruins are looking for a centre and a defencemen, and that for the first time they can spend players, rather than picks, to acquire them (17:34). We head over to Pittsburgh next to ask what's happening with the Penguins following an interesting press conference from Kyle Dubas (27:36)? Also, Jeff and Elliotte delve into a possible return to Ottawa for Erik Karlsson (33:27) and give an update on the Mark Stone injury in Vegas (38:20). Elliotte wraps up the opening segment by commenting on Vancouver's favourite topic... what's happening with Elias Pettersson (40:44)?

The guys answer your questions in the Montana’s Thought Line (43:00) and wrap the podcast by commenting on the direction of the Detroit Red Wings and Seattle Kraken before the NHL trade deadline (53:45).
