Murad's family has farmed this land for the past 10 generations, so he is a wisdom-carrier sharing vital local knowledge of farming techniques as well as permaculture principles and techniques. In his presentation Murad will share the history of the Marda Permaculture Farm, their inspiring accomplishments achieved despite great barriers, and the larger context of occupation within which Marda Farm operates. He will share the larger vision of the farm, the supportive global network to which it belongs, its mission, and dreams for the future--for Palestine and for the farm itself. This is the first time Murad has visited the U.S. since the farm was initiated in 2006, so it is a very special event. The presentation will follow with a Q and A session and an opportunity to visit with Murad after the talk. His family has farmed in the Marda village area for over ten generations.
