Judy Snider Author Interview

Judy was raised in Michigan and currently lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia with her husband Gil and her senior cat Bailey. She also has two grown sons. She is a retired Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). After her retirement, Judy had the joyful job of working in a school children’s library. The award winning Goldy’s Baby Socks, published in English and Spanish, is Judy’s first children’s book that she has published. In writing her children’s books, Judy liked ones that are humorous and speak to the heart. Judy loves cats, and puts a cat somewhere in all her books, and always eats chocolate when she writes. Her back-to-back thriller series through World Castle Publishing has three books that keep you guessing with strong female characters.
After writing the Mom’s Choice Award winning Goldy’s Baby Socks, Judy and her sister Joan co-wrote a heartwarming children’s gift picture book for grownups called I Love You, Be Careful which won the Mom’s Choice Award.  Judy also is one of the authors of a women’s book, The Sacred Purse, and is a member of the Hampton Roads Writers Group, Cat Writer’s Association, and James River Writers.
Judy got her B.S. from Western Michigan University and her master’s in social work from Tulane University in New Orleans.
Judy’s husband is also a writer. Gil Snider is the author of Brain Warp, a medical/political thriller and The Last, a thriller by World Castle Publishing.  His website can be found at www.gilsnider.com.  Judy’s fourth thriller, Betrayed, from World Castle Publishing, was co-witten with her husband and will be out April 1st, 2024.
In addition to writing books, Judy also writes song lyrics with her husband, Gil.  Check out the “Songwriting” links in the header to listen to songs written by Judy and Gil, as well as their son Nick.  Judy’s suspense books are available for adaptation for tv/film, and her songs are available for use in media such as TV.
