They say there are only two constants in life – death and taxes! Well, there may be some truth to that, but some Christians bristle at the idea of paying taxes. In today’s message, Pastor Mark reminds us that our witness is at stake in such issues. He highlights the story of Jesus when He sent Peter to collect the coins out of the fish’s mouth to pay their taxes. Jesus technically – as the Son of God and owner of everything – didn’t owe taxes! Yet, for the sake of the Gospel, He chose to pay them. Are you willing to submit to what is difficult and even be wronged for the sake of the Gospel?
