All net proceeds go to SIDS Research Guild at Seattle Children’s Hospital in honor of John’s son Aaron who passed away from SIDS in 2003.
SIDS claims 2500 infants in US annually. Striking without warning and leaving scant clues about its cause, it has defied all attempts to unlock its secret, casting a shadow of fear over every family with a newborn.
SIDS is the sudden and unexplained death of an infant who is younger than 1 year old. Most SIDS deaths are associated with sleep and infants who die of SIDS show no signs of suffering.
A lack of answers is part of what makes sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) so frightening.
SIDS is the leading cause of death among infants 1 month to 1 year old. It remains unpredictable despite years of research. Growing public awareness of SIDS and precautions to prevent it should leave fewer parents searching for answers in the future. Research is key to solving this mystery.
John and his wife Heather are the proud parents of four girls and an amazing grandson. He is an avid photographer, adventurer and hiker. He loves traveling, spending time with family, and giving back via SIDS Research Guild at Seattle Children’s Hospital. This is John Kahan’s True North Story®
