Iconic peace activist Medea Benjamin will be joining the show this week to talk about her advocacy for Palestinian liberation and the state of the cause in U.S. organizing, her support of Julian Assange, and other causes to which her work has been essential over the past decades. We’re thrilled to speak to her about what it’s like to dedicate one’s life to global peace from within a country seemingly bent upon destroying it, and to get her unique perspective on what it means to be an anti-war organizer during the genocide in Gaza that has horrified the world.
Her political journey has included SDS (Students for a Democratic Society), founding CodePink (a leftist, feminist anti-war organization), a run with the Green Party for Senate, and of course, countless vital protest actions across the globe.
