Whenever I see a TV commercial for Hamburger Helper, it takes me back to a particular time in my life. It transports me back to the 1980s when I was a baby radio DJ. I didn't make much money, so I often looked for a meal that could serve as dinner and then had some leftovers that would be lunch the next day. Hamburger Helper was something that fit the bill. It's not something I've had in years, but every time I think about it, it makes me smile. And it reminds me of simpler times...
