Jonty Wright, a 4th year Medical student at Stellenbosch University, was honoured as one of News24's 100 Young Mandelas for 2023. He's also part of a group of Stellenbosch students on a mission to establish a specialised intensive care unit for organ donors at Tygerberg Hospital. This dedicated unit, dubbed the #LifePod, aims to significantly boost the hospital's capacity for organ transplant, potentially saving up to 100 lives annually.
