28: A child's funeral
This week I attended the funeral for a family friend's 11 year old son. Things like that get you thinking. And with 2000+ mourners in line at the visitation, you have lots of time to think.
This episode we discuss how we live our nerdy lives knowing the end is always looming overhead. We talk about the role hobbies and distractions play in keeping us sane. We end by wondering if networking is a crucial behavior and if hobbies don't supplant that behavior... and set us up for failure as adults. Oh, and I talk about King Kong, Black Hole, Batman, and so on
