The Adelaide Show

A weekly podcast recorded in Adelaide that puts South Australian passion on centre stage with a featured guest who joins us each week as a co-presenter to share how they're pursuing their passions. We venture across topics as diverse as history, wine, food, art, music, relationships, critical thinking, health, news, interviews, chat and quizzes. Every single interview, every single show, unlocks insights into what drives people to be doing what they're doing and what keeps them striving. The Adelaide Show is produced by Steve Davis and Nigel Dobson-Keeffe. Please subscribe to our In Crowd list; you get an email each Friday (when we have published a new episode) with an overview of that week's show. Plus, consider joining our Inner Circle; a small group of passionate South Aussies who allow us to pick their brains and gain interviewee suggestions. This podcast began life as Another Boring Thursday Night In Adelaide from episodes 1-79.

054 - Move over Jamie Oliver, Grace Love is in town

Move over, Jamie Oliver, Grace Love is in town.

Grace Love is the owner of Bliss Organic Cafe and has just released a cookbook, Confident Cooking.

We talk to her about food, business, cookbooks, recipes, and, basically, what the ingredients are to become a successful author and business owner.

Tony Drake's comment last week about Adelaide being a Goldilocks town; not too big, not too small, not too fast, not too slow, has struck a chord with Adelaideans. Two of them feature in the Adelaide Visa Council and one of them, Jessica McQuillan, joins us from New York to compare the two cities.

It's Royal Adelaide Show time (starts tomorrow, September 5, 2014) and Jessica at Tuckers Natural has sent us all South Australian Goodie Bag showbags. We rustle through them. They're $20 at this year's show and include a number of items you collect at the stalls so you get to meet your makers. Delicious!

We introduce our new segment, suggested by Alice Carr, Is It News?

Brett goes a little retro by choosing music from Green Trampoline. A divine track.
