EcoRadio KC explores our interdependence with the rest of the world, showing the connections between the ways we choose to live and the health of the whole community of life. As a result, we plan to cover a wide range of topics, including local & regenerative agriculture, energy conservation & efficiency, justice, eco-villages, alternative medicine, indigenous peoples, clean energy, local food systems, biofuels, the need for multicultural participation in social change, global warming & climate disruption, extinction, green building and chemistry, and consumerism.

Reduce Your Waste


Former EPA employee, Steve Fishman and Mid America Regional Council's Matt Riggs join us landfill diversion through recycling and other things. Steve Fishman is a former EPA employee, with a background in solid and hazardous waste. His assignments included market development for recycled materials, electronics recycling, diversion of organics from landfills, and glass recycling. He past president of the Missouri Recycling Association, Chair of the local chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association and the Heartland Chapter of the Certified Hazardous Managers Association. He has a degree in Sociology from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
