Actress Cherry Jones; Professor Alexis Jay, the chair of the inquiry into child sexual abuse


Cherry Jones - award winning actress best known for her role as President of the United States in the TV series 24, talks to Jenni about that role and many others . She's just taken on the iconic role of ageing Southern Belle Amanda in Tennesse Williams' play The Glass Menagerie. What's it feels like to achieve her childhood ambition of appearing on the West End stage? Professor Alexis Jay, Chair of the Inquiry Into Child Sexual Abuse and author of the Jay Report into child sexual exploitation in Rotherham, joins us as we mark Sexual Abuse & Sexual Violence Awareness Week. She talks about lessons learnt from Rotherham, the huge impact of her report, taking on the chairmanship, the progress that's been made, and her desire to increase awareness of the nature and extent of abuse.
