This week's show featured some nominees for this year's Grammy Awards which take place on February 12th. But we didn't play Record of the Year, Album of the Year or Song of the Year - you can hear Adele on every other radio station! Instead, we played nominated artists from lesser known categories - Best Reggae Album (Raging Fyah), Best Contemporary Instrumental Album (Snarky Puppy), Best Dance / Electronic Album (Underworld), Best Jazz Vocal Album (Catherine Russell) and Best Contemporary Blues Album (Kenny Neal). Plus, as usual, we had plenty of #NewMusic by artists who don't get enough airplay on commercial stations or the Big Broadcasting Company. We had *NEW* releases from Henry Green, The Black Madonna, Lists, Flora Cash, Official Lou Rhodes, Jake Xerxes Fussell and others. We also paid our small tribute to one of the great jazz vocalists - Blossom Dearie - who passed away this week eight years ago and our Luvva Cover was a startlingly different interpretation of one of U2's best known songs.
Music that you just don't hear anywhere else!
Why not have a listen! We guarantee that you will fall in love with the music of at least three artists that you have never heard of before - or your money back!
