Pelecanus

Pelecanus.org Pelecanus is a radio show/podcast about the movement that is and has been happening in the conservation field. A documentary style show that highlights the people and organizations that are making it their purpose to grow the conservation field, to make right the wrongs of our past, and to show how people have, and still are making monumental differences in our world. Pelecanus is the genus of the California Brown Pelican, a species that was at the brink of extinction because of our use of toxic chemicals. We brought this species back, we made the decisions to reduce these toxins, we made the efforts necessary. We want this species to serve as an example of how we, as a society, can have an enormous positive impact on our world around us. This show is the antithesis to the common idea all over our news channels that "Not only is the world dying, its your fault, and not only is it your fault, there's nothing you can do about it." We're here to show that not only is there something that can be done, it is being done by dedicated scientists who have made conservation their life. We can find optimism through science.
