Titus 2:11-12 -On the basis of the Gospel (1:1-3) -Paul invests in and commissions Titus (1:4) -To set things in order (1:5a) -By appointing elders (1:5b) -Who have a good reputation (1:6-8) -Including the ability to instruct and correct (1:9) -Why? False Teachers endangering Church/Families (1:10-16) -In contrast, Titus/Church should be and do Good (2:1-10) -Because of God's Grace and Salvation (2:11-12) The Why Behind the What 1. Grace Appears (Palm Sunday-John 12:12-19) Though Jesus Christ and the Preaching of His Good News *Have I truly seen God's amazing, free grace? 2. Grace Saves *Have I experienced the power of God's salvation? 3. Grace Transforms *How is my life being transformed by God's grace? -To what am I saying "No"? -To what am I saying "Yes"? * How is God's grace in my life transforming the world around me?
