I think we are bopping along now as a podcast. It’s only April and we are approaching best of territory. There is simply a glut of really good music available, so this episode covers some pretty diverse and compelling territory. Also, while it may appear that the world is going to hell in a hand basket, I’m not going to get down by the day to day fluctuations in man’s inhumanity to man. Why is this relevant? Because as the real world and the music world intersect, it’s important to keep your overall perspective positive. As a gentle reminder to those who would assert otherwise and as The Clash aptly observed: I’ve been beat up, I’ve been thrown out / But I’m not down, I’m not down / I’ve been shown up, but I’ve grown up / And I’m not down, I’m not down… And so in keeping with the Book of Clash, Tales From The Drop Box Episode 71 also won’t bring you down! This show mines some deep deep cuts so don’t turn on the news, turn up the volume…
Here is what you’ll find in Episode #71:
She kissed him hard and they laughed a bit. She said baby don’t get hurt for this.
It’s not worth it now and it probably never was . . . she cracked, I’m sad, but I won’t, she cracked, I’m hurt, you’re right
