Irv provides a quick Peak Oil primer before moving on to relate those basics to the current political scene. Bill Hulet gives a primer on Taoism and highlights the need for practical philosophies to help overcome all of the encouragement we get to act according to our impulses rather than according to our ethical convictions. In the second hour, Brian Kaller, author of the Restoring Mayberry blog, calls in from his home in Ireland to provide his perspective as someone from Trump country who understands and identifies both with cultural conservatives and with people who are more concerned with preserving a viable biosphere than traditional values.
