After Eight Show - 27/06/17

This time, we had #NewMusic from Kate Kay Es, Texada, mr jukes + Alexandria - Singer/Songwriter, emma miller music, Bird Watcher + Alfonso Belloso, Wildwood Kin, Coldcut (Bogus Order), Gill Chang + Aviella Winder, Dallas Cosmas, Seavera, Healthy Junkies, July Skies, Paul Sforza and many others. Switch Dunmow's Record of the Week was suggested by Andy Presland of The Monday Mix - it was the charity single brought out to help raise funds by those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire. And our Luvva Cover was a beautiful reworking of a Led Zeppelin reworking of a 1929 blues song by Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie. You won't believe the transformation - it is a stunning song both in its (semi-) original and reinterpreted forms. Music that you just don't hear anywhere else! We go out LIVE from 8 till 10 on Switch Dunmow in the UK plus Fish Creek Radio and Long Beach Radio Project in the US and Bombshell Radio in Toronto - all at 8pm local times on Tuesday nights. www.theafter8show.com Playlist: Working – Kate Kay Es Drifter – Cherry White All My Life – Texada Tears – Mr Jukes, Alexandria Hey You – Duke B. feat.
