I'm Ridin' by Toby King

Label: Sound Plus 2103
Year: 1972
Condition: M-
Price: $36.00

Here's a beautiful copy of this rare and wonderful Funky Soul single from the early 1970s, when the musical form was beginning to die out, sad to say. I started to make an mp3 "snippet" of the hard-charging A side, but ultimately decided the groove on the B side was too sweet to let go by. So have a listen to "I'm Ridin'"! Curiously, the A side sounds like a Mono mix to me, whereas the B side is clearly Stereo. Credits include "And The Fame Gang," suggesting this was recorded at Fame Studios in Alabama. (?) Note: This 45 has Near Mint labels with a light touch of ringwear (see scan). The vinyl looks as though it's been played in a jukebox, separately grading a strong EX in appearance, but after several cleanings the audio just manages to make a Near Mint grade, though on the A side there is some surface noise that's occasionally audible, especially early on.
