One Drop Radio .::Episode 09::. “Which League Dem Ah Play?”
This episodes starts with early classics from the 80s from artists like Tenor Saw & Hopeton Lindo. I also touch on some late 2000s riddims like the Boops re-lick and the Rocksteady re-lick with a big tune from Bitty Mclean.
In the dancehall world I take it to Brooklyn with the Poison Gas Riddim and also take it to Florida with the Surprize riddim and i can’t forget the classic Double Jeopardy riddim.
When it comes to new music we are loaded. Check out the new Ricky Blaze tune “Pull It” and a couple weeks back i brought you a tune he produced for Mr. Easy, This week I have a new tune on that riddim by Wayne Wonder featuring Konshens (Wicked Combo!).
Everyone is talking about the new Cham produced by Dave Kelly called “Jump Off”, that riddim also features an unlikely Vanessa Bling tune which was obviously written by Kelly and/or Cham. To top that off Tiana responded to Vanessa Bling’s tune because she assumed it was a diss, so check out that tune as well. Speaking of disses check out “Which League” by Kartel which is supposed to be a diss to Mavado and also check out Mavado’s response “Blood Moon”.
