Women's sport: Are the dark days over?

Women’s sport has seen a massive surge in public interest after numerous successes in several sports including cricket, tennis, hockey and football. Jennie Price, chief executive of Sport England, says now young girls see iconic sports moments and think "this is really exciting and is something I can do" and Chelsea and England footballer Claire Rafferty says the "formula for raising the profile of the game" is simple - just be better than the men.
