We are joined this week by the co-founder of the permaculture movement David Holmgren to discuss his ideas behind retrofitting the suburbs as part of our transition to a low carbon society. Have the suburbs been given a bad press when in fact they can be a tremendous resource? Is increasing densities a bad thing and if so, how do we prevent our conurbations from continuing to sprawl outwards? Can we return to localised, sharing economies? These questions are becoming ever more pertinent in light of the climate emergency.
