This month guestmix is coming from Armando Mendes and here is some more info about Armando: Born in Oporto, Portugal. Armando Mendes was raised surrounded by music and arts by his family and friends. From a tender age he started to play instruments and where later on he developed a especial affection for the bass guitar and double bass. Studio rehearsals, live gigs of funk & jazz bands were a part of his adolescence and adulthood which gave him a intense musical background and musical composition. Once he started to listen to Detroit and Chicago House music, artist like Larry Heard, Frankie Knucles, Moodyman, Theo Parrish, Kerry Chandler and more from the genre, it became a huge influence to him hence he decided to take a step into electronic music and move to Barcelona in 2006 to study audio engineering and electronic music production at SAE. From the acquired studies he started to produce is own music and releasing on international labels and on is own label, Turquoise Records. Throughout is career so far he played in private events and clubs around Europe such has in London (Godwood castle), Sweden (Babel), Barcelona (City Hall, Wet deck Pool Parties, Macarena, Razzamatazz, Moog, etc) Russia (W St Peteresbusrg, Lombard, Boat Party) and Chalet (Berlin, Germany), where he also shared the decks with Robert Owens, Tensnake, Ben Pearce, and many others of the genre..
