Preservation is necessary when keeping protecting or conserving something valuable but... What happens when we try and preserve something that may no longer need preserving? Or what if we preserve it too much like a jam that turns to paste or beef jerky that turns to shoe leather? What if systems and institutions need to operate more like a body then an engine?
