#15 :: Talking with Jaye Wells of Rillito Park Foundation

We sit down with Jaye Wells of Rillito Park Foundation for a conversation about the current and future history of the legendary Tucson racetrack. Rillito is the home of the first American woman jockey, the first photo finish at a horse race, the birthplace of the American Quarter Horse, and on and on. There is a fight going on between the current vision of many different uses at the park and a soccer-only approach. Jaye is the director of the Rillito Park Foundation, which operates the park as a 501 C3 non-profit entity. We sat down during the weekly Heirloom Farmer's Market this past Sunday. Crucial thanks to Rudy Cortese on banjo and the singular Logan Phillips for the intro. All of our shows are available at www.liveontape.net...
