Hello and welcome to Lehmann Podcast #044 - Janina! Enthusiastic, soulful and obstinate would probably best describe Janina, a Berlin born & based DJ, and above all a pillar of the German electronic underground scene for more than twelve years. She has first been acknowledged for her active residency at the needs-no-introduction Club der Visionäre. She developed over the time a impressive sharp ear, peerless technical skills, an asserted signature, despite continuously evolving music tastes.She now plays regular sets for Klubnacht parties @ Panorama Bar, and got well-known for her endless sets at Ibiza Underground, Ushuaia, Macarena Club, Rex Club, Watergate, Arena Club, Monasterio and Katapult Parisian parties. While sharing the decks with Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, Robert Hood, Fumiya Tanaka, Sonja Moonear, Margaret Dygas, Thomas Melchior, Cassy, Luciano, Carl Craig and other artists around the world, she is now playing twice a month as a resident of Monasterio Club in Moscow, one of the capital’s major nightclub. Having drawn unlimited inspiration from Underground Resistance pioneers, to legend Robert Hood, Cari Lekebush or Tresor’s techno scene, she likes to drive up the ideas further.
