After Eight Show - 17/10/17

Megawatts of #NewMusic on this episode. An eclectic mix of original, intelligent, melodic, grown-up songs - electronic, rnb, jazz, blues and acoustic. And mostly from artists who you have not heard of - yet! Think 'next series of Jools' - that's the kind of artists that we choose. We had #NewMusic from Flunk, Skye and Ross (Morcheeba), Sorority Noise, Ibeyi + Meshell Ndegeocello, Marc O'Reilly, Becca Stevens, Heather Christie, Keilan Creech, Iris Lune, Madison Mueller, Shay Esposito, Fiona Ross, Cape Cub, Swim Season and others. Our Luvva Cover feature was a nice reinterpretation, by Erin McCarley, of a big hit by Thirteen Senses. And Switch Dunmow's Record of the Week was by The KingPins who are a band from Harlow. You'll know the song - it was a big hit for Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Michael McDonald and many others. Music that you just don't hear anywhere else!
