It's the last week of January and as we speed headfirst into the year 2016 Al & Ket filter the wheat from the chaff with another Mucho Soul show full of goodness and vitality. Kets first hour begins with new music from TAGi featuring Cleveland P Jones, David Morin and The Erik Truffaz Quartet before a dig into the archives for some Rasputin Stash, a couple of gems from The Three Degrees and a track that went under the radar a few years back from The Soul Minority. Ket's uptempo dance floor cuts come via Modernista for Tom Mcconnell, Get Groove for Roberto Frattale and Get Physical for Wouter De Moor before ending his hour with new material from Yoruba for Carlos Mena. Al's second hour begins with an old Maurice White penned Ramsey Lewis cut before a sneak preview ahead of the forthcoming Inner City Collection via BBE compiled by Kev Beadle with tracks from Tom Lelis and Judy Roberts. There's also some very classy re-released Seventies Soul from Gloria Ann Taylor via San Franciscos Luv N Haight stable and a couple of 21st century Hip Hop numbers from Erykah Badu featuring André 3000 and Lalah Hathaway featuring Snoop Dogg. Al's deep and afro house choices this week come from Newman & Ladybird for Peng, Tshepo King & Masta P, Zepherin Saint, Exte C and rounding things off sweetly something brand new from Glenn Underground.
