Man, how would I know that a show like this would have me nervous? Well, on this episode, it was just that. We lost Keith Wilder on October 29th. With his loss, the flag bearer of Heatwave was gone (Rod Temperton passed on last year, and Johnnie Wilder Jr. passed back in 2006). However, the legacy of Heatwave continues to remain. 1 has to question: Did they know what impact they would have over time? On this episode, I did my best to capture their essence by showcasing, not only their hits, but the great cuts that don't get played a lot on r&b/classic soul formats. I truly hope you get in the groove, press play, and have your ears open to the impacting jams that continue on from the legacy that is Heatwave.
