After Eight Show - New Music You Just Don't Hear Anywhere Else!

This week, we were jammed full of #NewMusic again. An eclectic mix of original, intelligent, melodic, grown-up songs - #electronic, #RnB, #jazz, #blues and #acoustic. And mostly from artists who you have not heard of - yet! Think 'next series of Jools' - that's the kind of artists that we play. We had #NewMusic from Japanese Breakfast, Tom Glide + Hil St Soul + Ashley Beedle, Overcoats, Smoke Season, Old Sea Brigade, Ramona Rose, Otzeki, Ali McGuirk, Ortense Blue, Jazz Profilactika, Tom Thiel, Megan O'Neill, VedeTT, Sweet Nobody and many others. Our Luvva Cover was a new, inventive, dark reinterpretation of one of Nina Simone's most famous songs. And Switch Dunmow's Record Of The Week was a new single by London singer/songwriter Sam Key Musician in aid of BK'S Heroes - a charity set up by Ben King who sadly died last year but whose inspiring legacy raises awareness of Brain and Kidney disease and contributes funds towards research in this area.
