Bearded Gentlemen Music Podcast

Welcome to the new, relaunched, Bearded Gentlemen Music podcast… now called “The 1st of the Month Music Podcast”. The new format will be Jon and I looking over what happened in the prior month and basically talking about things we like and didn’​​t like. You can look for the pod to drop on the first of every month, unless if the first is on a weekend I guess. If it’s on a weekend it will either come out on the Monday after or the Friday before.

Or maybe both. Or maybe neither. Who’s to say, really? Another month, another podcast… am I right, guys?!?!?!?!

It really started with a lot of non-music talk… things like haircuts and Costco… you know stuff that normal music podcasts talk about all the time. But when we started talking music, we were rolling.

The conversation really centered around Bearded Gentlemen Music’s year end list – a list that Jon has totally lost control of and the outcomes were not very good. We agree with some of the outcomes (King Krule, Anacondas, Kendrick Lamar), but others, IN OUR OPINIONS, are shit garbage (The National and Lorde). I mean making these lists has to be hard, but we also discuss ways to change the system for cooler results.

Jon went and saw a Foo Fighters show, so I guess that’s pretty cool (?) and we discussed their appearance on SNL. Believe it or not, we weren’t fans. This also probably led to the spiciest take of the show – that Jon thinks Pat Smear’s guitar isn’t even plugged in.
