Rust is a systems programming language that runs blazingly fast, prevents segfaults, and guarantees thread safety. Ben Striegel is the one of the original members of the Rust community, having watched it grow from a 30-person IRC channel to an established project with over two thousand committers and hundreds of commercial users. Today he is a member of the Rust Community Team providing mentorship, outreach, and community coordination. He has also contributed to the open-source video game Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup.
