Plundersonics Podcast

Nolan & Winter started the Plundersonics Podcast in June of 2015 as a way to broaden their musical horizons and, hopefully, help others do the same! Every week, we get together and assign one another an album that we think would be interesting to discuss. The following week, we get together and share our thoughts on the albums and talk some music news, new releases and singles!

Plundersonics Podcast Ep. 16

This week on the podcast, Nolan and Winter discuss the classic post-punk release Hew Enduction Hour by The Fall and the modern prog rock concept album De-Loused in the Comatorium by The Mars Volta. We branch off into a discussion on musical influences before heading into the music news, which includes a possible LCD Soundsystem reunion and Kanye's American Idol audition. This week's singles include tracks from Le1f, Neon Indian, Raury, and Tyler, the Creator. Next week, we will be discussing one of Muse's early albums, Origins of Symmetry, as well as the underground black metal release Melancholie² by ColdWorld. The singles we'd like to recommend this week are: The Sound of Silence by James Blake (singer/songwriter): https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=205&v=Tk9Oh7YI828 Rage by Le1f (hip-hop, queer): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Qt6eFShFfc Hot Glue by Pill (post-punk, noise rock): https://soundcloud.com/mexicansummer/hot-glue/ Forbidden Knowledge by Raury ft. Big K.R.I.T. (hip-hop): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_KQCEFPObE Untitled (FUCK IT) by Tyler, the Creator (hip-hop): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=af1ePmCW4ZY
