21st Century Soul

Originally entitled 'Weird Scenes Inside The Soul Mind', (the title is a take on the name of the 1972 album by The Doors) this weeks show was recorded one Monday afternoon in December of 2009 before I joined Starpoint Radio and probably after a weekend of repeatedly playing everything in n out of each other; my head would have been full of it. At the time, I was living in a place where there were no neighbours to disturb and could therefore play music as loud as I wished for as long as I wished; and I did, what with not working at the time, it went on and on, for many hours sometimes. Before Podomatic, I used to share my mixes via Media Fire and post the links to EMS. I seem to remember this being the least downloaded mix of all and must therefore carry a 'Soul Police' warning as it's Deep, Percussive and Instrumental and very busy at times with only a few Soulful Vocals included. I'm sorry that I won't be around in the chat room again this week, I'm off up the road on a jolly to Amsterdam with one of the heads from my nights and days of working in the casinos there, I felt so sorry for him, he said he had no body to go with. I will try and work out the playlist for the Extended Mix tomorrow, otherwise you could always try 'Shazaming', please ask Tina Kendall for instructions on this as she is 'The Shazam Queen'. Something a bit different to my usual show admittedly, but with all the recent rain and limited daylight hours I was especially skint.
