Arizona EMCast

AZEMCast is THE competitive emergency medicine podcast. The host, Dr. Aaron Leetch, moderates a panel of emergency physicians who will go head to head navigating a clinical case from the Ring Down to the Work Up to the Dispo. Panelists are awarded points for their approach to the case and their clinical application of evidence-based medicine. However, points are deducted for weak arguments or reliance on experience-based medicine. The panelist with the most point at the end of the case will win the opportunity to soapbox about whatever aspect of EM they are most passionate about. We hope this podcast will model the knowledge, skills and approach that will help you take the best care of your patients. Posts ≠ medical advice http://uanow.org/participate

August 2015: Low risk chest pain, syncope and Rosenisms

August in Tucson means the snow birds are just a few months away. For that we delve into the American Heart Association guidelines on low risk chest pain before they get here. Our world’s worst ER doc tries to admit a syncope patient and Dr. Peter Rosen weighs in on our duty to the chest pain patient from his medical and personal point of view.

Remember to take a screenshot of the articles and supplement our wild ramblings with good literature! -Aaron, Jarrod and Brian
