AZEMCast is THE competitive emergency medicine podcast. The host, Dr. Aaron Leetch, moderates a panel of emergency physicians who will go head to head navigating a clinical case from the Ring Down to the Work Up to the Dispo. Panelists are awarded points for their approach to the case and their clinical application of evidence-based medicine. However, points are deducted for weak arguments or reliance on experience-based medicine. The panelist with the most point at the end of the case will win the opportunity to soapbox about whatever aspect of EM they are most passionate about. The last AZEMCast of the academic year is upon us (barely). In honor of summer and all of the motorized vehicles it represents, this month we cover Traumatic Brain Injury and several of the new directions we are headed toward managing this complex disease. We get a visit from a recent graduate to help ease (or frighten) our seniors into their new jobs. Finally, Peter Rosen tells it like it is in a frank comment about the role of consultants in the ED.
