Twenty years after he was brutally beaten and murdered in what was widely seen as an anti-gay hate crime, Matthew Shepard is to be interred at Washington’s National Cathedral. Elliott Forrest, broadcaster and producer for WQXR and WNYC, directed a new oratorio for PBS called "Considering Matthew Shepard," that is to be included in the ceremony. He talks about the ceremony and what it means for LGBTQ Americans.
