Subhash C. Singhal started his career in 1984 as the manager of Fuel Cell Technology at Siemens Power Generation, where he was responsible for the development of high temperature solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) for stationary power generation. During this time, he led an internationally recognized group in SOFC technology and brought this few-watt laboratory curiosity to fully-integrated 200 kW size power generation systems.
In 2000, Dr. Singhal left Siemens to join the Energy and Environment Directorate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). At PNNL, he provides senior technical, managerial, and commercialization leadership to the lab’s fuel cell and clean energy programs.
