@BrianLehrer I think what this conversation is missing is that an interaction between a man and a woman in a prof setting can be TOTALLY innocent but the individuals involved can worry about perception and reputation by OTHER people looking on.

E.g. sell side and buy side are totally different and have different cultures. Sell side (or any sales teams in *any* industry) tends to be far more difficult for women
