episode 1: HO 1 –‘Tis the Season

We explain what this show is about and then talk about the first episode of season one of the excellent detective drama Bosch, starring Titus Welliver.

Welcome to a new podcast from Sixgun Productions! Featuring the old crew from Linux Outlaws, Dan and Fab are now delving into pop culture and the sordid underbelly of the entertainment capital of the world. On Hollywood Outlaws, we watch on-screen drama and talk about it. We start off with the excellent TV series Bosch, starring Titus Welliver – available on Amazon Prime Video … or whatever it is called. Thanks to Hulkoff and the Bourbon Boys for our amazing intro song Remington Magnum Express!

But before we dive into the world of the eponymous detective, we explain what we have planned for this podcast and how it came about. Warning: THIS IS NOT A LINUX PODCAST! Expect two new episodes every month, each covering one episode of Bosch in order. We recommend you watch the episode before listening to the show if you don’t want spoilers. Even then, there might be some mild ones, as Fab has read many of the Bosch novels and will try to impart insight on what is happening in the TV show and how it differs from the original books by Michael Connelly.

To start things off, we cover episode 1 of season 1 of Bosch – Chapter One: ‘Tis the Season.

An LAPD homicide detective works to solve the murder of a 13-year-old boy while standing trial in federal court for the murder of a serial killer. Based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling book series, ‘Bosch’.

You can give us feedback on the show via Twitter or on the Sixgun Discord. See you next time, we’re Code Seven now. Meanwhile, check out Wrestle Me, it’s a great podcast and inspired us greatly and, of course, Dan’s other show Tales of the Unattested.
