episode 107: Stage 4 | Velez-Malaga – Alfacar, Sierra de la Alfaguara | Vuelta a España 2018

In this episode of The Cycling Podcast, Lionel Birnie, Daniel Friebe and Fran Reyes are in Granada to assess the fourth stage of the Vuelta a España.

It was the first major mountain of the race and we assess the clues from the stage. The stage itself was won by American Ben King, riding for Dimension Data but behind that was the first major battle for the general classification.

We hear from Pierre Rolland, who missed the two-man split on the final climb and had an unsuccessful chase that fell just short.

Behind the breakaway, Team LottoNL-Jumbo took control of the race and we hear from Steven Kruijswijk about their tactics.

The Cycling Podcast is supported by Rapha and Science In Sport.
