The Parallel Lives Tabletop Podcast

A podcast of recondite roleleplaying retrospectives and review, for game systems that deviate from the tried and true formula of your Dungeons and Dragons or your Pathfinder. Do you like making single session stories with your friends around your table? Weaving worlds on the fly? Running games with no game masters, or multiple? Or maybe games that complement an ongoing campaign, or piece into bizarre many-meting epics on a pack of note cards? Join us, as we explore the wide, weird, and wonderful worlds of cooperative storytelling, exciting worldbuilding, unique game mechanics, and lovely indie tabletop hipster nonsense, in this pen and paper podcast odyssey

13: Monsterhearts

We're back with another scintillating story, of creatures of the night, lurid glares, and bell schedules.

We were about to start off this post asking for a poll of how your sex life was in high school, but realized quickly that that would be crazy creepy! It's a pertinent question though, because that is exactly what the system is about.

Well, partially, at least.

Monsterhearts is a game of teen drama, of webs of evolving relationships, of fights and of secrets, crushes and revenge. And yes, Monsterhearts is a game of sex.

And while many teenagers feel monstrous in one respect or another, in this game...they actually are. This is a game of witches and werewolves, of ghosts and of ghouls.

Intrigued? Bemused? Perhaps even, titillated? Listen on, dear parallelograms. Have we got a podcast for you.
