The queen of the world has died.

“Death”, Seymour once said flashing one of his beloved tarot cards. “The card means permanent change. Like death.”
“So, we still believe death is the end?”
“Or at least permanent change.”
“Or just a beginning.”

I wish I could say this had any bearing on Victoria. Did she die? I do think so? Definitely. But do those high and mighty die like normal people? Doubtfully. I would not be the least surprised if she showed up here among me and Donovan and the other not quite deceased. Perhaps she has been like me for ages. Donovan has had many lovers through the years.
